Meet The Team
Meet the Get There Writing Services team
We interrupt this website to bring you a page of 3rd person narrative so you can get to know us better:
Simon Hillier - copywriter, article and book writer, web writing trainer
Simon has been writing and marketing for more than 15 years.
In the late '90's he helped launch e-commerce trailbrazers lastminute.com and travel.com.au, where his weekly newsletters were read by more than half a million travel and online shopping addicts.
Over the years he's chaired or spoken at dozens of local and international internet marketing conferences and seminars.
Simon has conjured up website copy, SEO copy, print copy and email newsletters for:
-
Scores of small, medium and global businesses
-
Brand names like Bigpond, ING, Jaguar, and VW.
-
Charities such as Multiple Sclerosis Australia and Acheive Abroad.
He has written, polished and edited ebooks and books for Australian, US, UK and European publishers, companies and inspiring individuals.
His articles have appeared in magazines, newspapers and websites around the world.
Simon also runs web writing workshops for corporate, government and education clients. And each semester he slips on his tweed jacket with elbow patches to teach at Sydney University CCE.
He has an unhealthy infatuation with travel writing and one day plans to tap away at his keyboard from a swinging hammock strung between two palm trees on the sugar white sands of Tulum, Mexico. Until then, you can find him in the office relishing the opportunity to help you make your own "swinging hammock" dream a reality.
Katie Silcox - copywriter, article writer, business writer
Katie is a spicy writer with a zest for life that sparkles through in her words.
She spent 5 years as a research writer for an uber-groovy Artificial Intelligence firm in Europe, and her extensive business writing experience includes heading up a grant-proposal task force that enticed half a million plump, succulent Euros in funding out of the European Union.
To balance out all that serious business 'yin', Katie gives her writer's 'yang' a regular workout through scintillating newsletters, articles and e-books on travel, culture, spirituality, women’s health, and the endless quirky in’s and out’s of existence.
Katie has also ghost-written copy for corporate and individual clients including:
- American Medical Writers Association (AMWA)
- Mind and Body Beauty Spa, London
- Jivamukti Yoga, New York
- Adventure travel companies
- Women of Grace and Power: Women’s Health
- Fitness clubs and gyms
Away from the keyboard, you’ll usually find Katie transforming her yoga students into human pretzels, or working towards her Masters in Women’s Issues.
